Norco RMS™ wins prestigious ICT award

Norco Group, the Aberdeen based battery specialists, have won a prestigious award for their innovative asset tracking software.

The Northern Star Business Awards run by the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce aim to celebrate the brightest and best in the business. Norco were awarded the Best use of ICT award for their asset tracking software programme Norco RMS™ and category judge Stephen Neilson, Small Business Development Manager for Microsoft, claimed that Norco had won the award by demonstrating innovative use of technology to gain competitive advantage.

Marketing Manager, Amy Davidson said, We are absolutely thrilled to have won this award. Norco believe that our strength lies in the knowledge and experience of our people. Experience is up to an individual to gain, but knowledge is something that, as a company, it is our responsibility to share. With recent technological advances and developments with web based programming, we know that the only way to share information effectively is to provide user friendly systems. The systems we have developed required a considerable about of time and money to complete but have radically changed our internal business processes. Internally we know that Norco RMS is a fantastic product, but it is wonderful to see those outwith our business and our industry recognising the value of the system.

In partnership with local software firm, Motion Software, Norco have developed many new systems in the past year, including Norco RMS™, the bespoke asset tracking, transaction recording and reporting system; Norco CMS, the internal sales and marketing database for the input and recording of all customer activity; Norco Intranet, the internal portal for sharing information; and Norco Extranet, the internet based ordering system customised for Norco customers.
